Zim Air Rally 2024 (Zimbabwe)
Zimbabwe-based Slingers, we are super excited to announce that Mike and James will be participating in the 2024 Zim Air Rally this weekend from June 6th to 10th, flying our respective Sling High Wings, tricycle, ZU-SHW and taildragger, ZU-TDR. This rally promises to be an exhilarating adventure and they are eagerly anticipating the opportunity to meet up with fellow Sling enthusiasts and aviators.
The itinerary for the rally is packed with breathtaking destinations and ample opportunities for camaraderie. Here’s a look at the planned stops:
- 6 June: The rally kicks off with a briefing session, followed by an overnight stay at the picturesque Caribbea Bay. This will be an excellent chance for all participants to get acquainted and prepare for the journey ahead.
- 7 June: The next leg of the journey takes the aviators to Hwange Safari Lodge. Nestled in the heart of Hwange National Park, this overnight stay promises a unique blend of adventure and relaxation amidst the African wilderness.
- 8 June: The rally continues with an overnight stay at one of the charming lodges: Pioneers, Bayete or PheZulu, lodges known for their warm hospitality and serene surroundings.
- 9 June: Participants will spend another night at either Pioneers, Bayete or PheZulu, allowing more time to explore the local attractions and share flying stories with fellow aviators.
- 10 June: The final day of the rally sees everyone taking to the skies one last time for the journey home.
The Zim Air Rally promises to be a spectacular event, celebrating the beauty of Zimbabwe from above and the guys cannot wait to embark so come and say hi if you can.
