Administrator - Parts Investigator

We are hiring an Administrator in the Kit Packing Department who will be responsible for investigating missing parts and will also be tasked with maintaining the production process by keeping it as efficient and cost-effective as possible, as well as fixing any potential issues.

PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING DUTIES:

  1. Daily updates on Slingshot.
  2. Responding to queries from Sales.
  3. Investigating and verifying missing parts on Slingshot.
  4. Checking and sending images of missing parts to Sales as reported by customers.
  5. Recording notes in Slingshot to inform Sales and customers of previously supplied parts.
  6. Preventing duplicate supplies.
  7. Ensuring parts are not supplied as backorders when they need to be purchased.
  8. Maintaining a clean and organised workspace.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Matric.
  • Experience in investigative work.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Willingness to work overtime when required.

AMO Manager

Sling is seeking a highly skilled and experienced AMO Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of our Aircraft Maintenance Organisation (AMO) division. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining high-quality service standards and driving business success.

PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING DUTIES:

  1. Oversee the daily operations of the AMO to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to enhance business growth and operational effectiveness.
  3. Manage and lead the AMO team, fostering a culture of excellence, safety and accountability.
  4. Ensure full compliance with SA Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) regulations and the company’s approved Manual of Procedures (MOP).
  5. Maintain and enhance quality management, safety protocols and documentation standards.
  6. Ensure that all aircraft maintenance and repair activities are completed to the highest standards.
  7. Develop and implement effective systems and procedures for operational efficiency.
  8. Drive customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and maintaining strong client relationships.
  9. Ensure financial stability and profitability of the AMO.
  10. Collaborate with company directors and other management team members to achieve business goals.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Matric.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a managerial role with a focus on people and process management.
  • Strong understanding of business and management principles.
  • AP License will be highly advantageous.
  • Proven ability to lead and build high-performing teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
  • Ability to think and operate at a strategic level while ensuring rapid and efficient task execution.
  • Exceptional organisational and documentation skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism and accountability.

Root Cause Analyst

PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING DUTIES:

  1. Testing systems and procedures to ensure they meet technical standards and creating quality and safety documentation.
  2. Identifying technical issues and problems, getting to the root of the problem and proactively recommending solutions that will improve product durability and overall performance.
  3. Improving, optimising and streamlining existing processes.
  4. Administering non-conformance reports.
  5. Documenting processes and procedures on the production line.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Quality is preferred.
  • At least 3 – 5 years of experience in a QA or QC environment within the manufacturing, sheet metal or aviation sector.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management standards (ISO, IPC, etc.).
  • Sound knowledge of quality control, quality assurance and configuration management.
  • Experience in continuous quality improvement processes (Six Sigma, PDCA, etc.) with demonstrated results is preferred.
  • Advanced working knowledge in Corrective Action/Root Cause Analysis and Statistical Process Control is essential.
  • Experience in a design, manufacturing and product support environment.
