It’s an exciting day for the NYAP team as the bulk of their Sling 2 Kit arrives in Torrance, California on May 30th ready for their youth build!
The Naples Youth Aviation Project, (NYAP) a Florida non-profit corporation, will be taking off shortly with their first group of young aviation enthusiasts on a big adventure: building a “Sling 2” airplane that will eventually make its first flight at the Naples Airport!
Members of Naples EAA Chapter 1067 recognized that local youth who have an interest in aviation needed a way to access the aviation world where they could begin acquiring the knowledge and skills to lead them into future careers. Members of Chapter 1067, including pilots, aircraft mechanics, aircraft builders and restorers, will share their expertise and guide a group of 20 youngsters through the process of building an aircraft from start to finish.
Boys and girls aged 10-18 are invited to participate in the building of an experimental kit aircraft under the guidance of EAA Chapter 1067 in Naples, Florida. With instructional sessions soon underway, begin your application to join the Naples Youth Aviation Project today!
