Sling Africa Tour: Namibia Expedition 2023

The Sling Africa Tour is once again upon us and this year will see us Slinging our way through liberating, soulful, rugged Namibia starting May 7th in Upington and ending May 14th at Lanseria!

We aim to have up to 12 Sling Aircraft and 24 Slingers join us on this adventure. James Pitman will be leading the tour in our latest development aircraft, the Sling High Wing Taildragger. Accommodation will cost approximately R11,000 per person (600 USD) for the entire trip, which includes breakfast at each location. Lunch, dinner and drinks will be for your own account.

If you would like to experience the Sling Africa Tour for yourself, book and pay before Sunday, April 2nd in order to avoid disappointment!

Slingers, get ready to feel the burn!

The Tanqua Kuru is calling and we’re answering

It’s go‑time! Load up your gear, strap on your gravel shoes, and aim for the wide‑open Karoo horizon. The Tanqua Kuru is calling, and we’re answering with throttles, pedals, and hearts wide open. At least four Sling aircraft and our solid team of riders will make the pilgrimage to Tankwa Tented Camp for what’s become an annual tradition of grit, gravel, and greatness.

But that’s not all!

There’s still one title former Springbok Bob Skinstad hasn’t claimed… This isn’t a stadium victory. No crowds, no ceremony, no easy applause. This one is fought for. Across endless gravel, through the dust, under the relentless Tankwa sun. And he’s chasing it down on a Sling Cycles Tagati. So, the question is — when he rolls up to the start line… will you be there with him?
