Sling 2020 Breakfast Fly-In (Pilots Post)

“This year, Sling Aircraft’s annual breakfast fly-in, the best ever attended, celebrated the company breaking the 600 mark of Sling 2 and 4’s sold. With 328 sold, the Sling 2 is slowly inching towards the 400 mark whilst the Sling 4 and Sling TSi, the company’s best sellers, at 281 are just short of the 300 mark.

The fly-in, held under Covid-19 regulations, was attended by a large number of visitors flying a large variety of aircraft. All visitors were invited to take part in a spot landing competition and some nice prizes were up for grabs.

Now firmly established on the calendar and only a short hob away from most from Gauteng’s general aviation fields, the Sling Breakfast Fly-In is open to all types. Unlike most fly in’s, what makes it popular is the chance to visit the factory where the country’s most successful general aviation aircraft are manufactured.”

Slingers, get ready to feel the burn!

The Tanqua Kuru is calling and we’re answering

It’s go‑time! Load up your gear, strap on your gravel shoes, and aim for the wide‑open Karoo horizon. The Tanqua Kuru is calling, and we’re answering with throttles, pedals, and hearts wide open. At least four Sling aircraft and our solid team of riders will make the pilgrimage to Tankwa Tented Camp for what’s become an annual tradition of grit, gravel, and greatness.

But that’s not all!

There’s still one title former Springbok Bob Skinstad hasn’t claimed… This isn’t a stadium victory. No crowds, no ceremony, no easy applause. This one is fought for. Across endless gravel, through the dust, under the relentless Tankwa sun. And he’s chasing it down on a Sling Cycles Tagati. So, the question is — when he rolls up to the start line… will you be there with him?
