Tankwa Tented Camp is a place where you can lose and find yourself at the same time. Halfway between Ceres and Calvinia in the Tankwa Karoo, you can find it along the R 355 which is a 207 km stretch and the longest uninterrupted dirt road in South Africa. Situated on Stonehenge Private Nature Reserve, the Tankwa Tented Camp is bordered on two sides by the Tankwa National Park, making it a wonderful base for exploring the indigenous fauna and flora, and everything else this fascinating biodiversity hotspot has to offer.
It is here you will find team Sling for the Sling Aircraft Fly Away Weekend, April 8th to 10th 2022!
Team Sling will be camping out from next Friday to Sunday, 6th to 8th March, for a full weekend of flying, demos, good company, and proper aviation vibes. We’re bringing the Sling TSi and Sling High Wing along for demo flights on Friday, 6th March — so if you’re serious about owning your own Sling, this is your chance to experience the difference firsthand. From STOL competitions and spot landings to skydivers, hot air balloons, Harvards, workshops and yes… the Sling pool is coming too, so pack those cozzies😉 — it’s going to be aviation heaven.
