Sling’s High Wing – Another Success In The Making

“We, in sunny South Africa, went into an almost complete lock down on March 17th due to Covid-19. However, at the Sling Aircraft factory in Tedderfield Airpark, work on their latest development, the Sling High Wing, continued. The cancellation of AirVenture 2020 might have offered them a respite, but it was then decided to get the first prototype, a Taildragger, ready to be flown to Sun ‘n Fun in Florida in the USA in April 2021 where it would remain. The second prototype, a Tricycle, would then be flown to Oshkosh later in the year. Afterwards, as has now become part of the Sling’s tradition, it will be flown around the world.”

Slingers, get ready to feel the burn!

The Tanqua Kuru is calling and we’re answering

It’s go‑time! Load up your gear, strap on your gravel shoes, and aim for the wide‑open Karoo horizon. The Tanqua Kuru is calling, and we’re answering with throttles, pedals, and hearts wide open. At least four Sling aircraft and our solid team of riders will make the pilgrimage to Tankwa Tented Camp for what’s become an annual tradition of grit, gravel, and greatness.

But that’s not all!

There’s still one title former Springbok Bob Skinstad hasn’t claimed… This isn’t a stadium victory. No crowds, no ceremony, no easy applause. This one is fought for. Across endless gravel, through the dust, under the relentless Tankwa sun. And he’s chasing it down on a Sling Cycles Tagati. So, the question is — when he rolls up to the start line… will you be there with him?
