We’re thrilled to invite you to a weekend of adventure, relaxation and camaraderie at the stunning Aloe Bush Game Lodge in Limpopo from Friday, October 4th to Sunday, October 6th, 2024. Not only will you join fellow aviation enthusiasts for an unforgettable experience in the heart of the bush, but Sling adventurer James Pitman will also be joining us for this incredible journey! And here’s the exciting news: bookings are now open to ALL planes and ALL pilots, regardless of which aircraft you fly!
Our weekend kicks off on Friday evening with a traditional South African braai, setting the tone for a weekend of great company and delicious food. On Saturday morning, enjoy a full breakfast before heading out for a day of excitement as we compete in our very own Sling Aircraft Fun Rally. We’ve arranged a special lunch at the Groblersdal Airfield featuring mouth-watering hamburgers upon the conclusion of the rally, followed by an afternoon game drive and a variety of potjiekos for dinner back at the lodge. Sunday morning will be a relaxed affair with coffee and rusks to end the weekend.
Whether you’re soaring through the skies or exploring the wild on a game drive, there’s something for everyone. This event is family-friendly, so bring along your loved ones, from the kiddies to the grandparents.

-Bookings close Wednesday, September 25th.
-Chalets and camping facilities are available.
-The weekend ranges from R1,380 per person to R2,180 per person for the entire weekend depending on the accommodation and activities selected. This amount also includes all meals.
-If you join us alone, we would prefer you book the campsite due to limited availability on the chalets for those with guests.
-All bedding and towels are supplied for chalets.
-Please bring your own gear if you have selected to stay in the campsite.
-A cash bar will be available however all drinks must be ordered beforehand or alternatively, you can bring your own.
-Fuel can be pre-ordered via the registration form.
-Only full weekend bookings will be accepted.
-Final invoices will be calculated upon registration.
-Final booking information and invoices will only be submitted after booking closure.
-No Sling Aircraft are available for rentals.

It’s go‑time! Load up your gear, strap on your gravel shoes, and aim for the wide‑open Karoo horizon. The Tanqua Kuru is calling, and we’re answering with throttles, pedals, and hearts wide open. At least four Sling aircraft and our solid team of riders will make the pilgrimage to Tankwa Tented Camp for what’s become an annual tradition of grit, gravel, and greatness.
There’s still one title former Springbok Bob Skinstad hasn’t claimed… This isn’t a stadium victory. No crowds, no ceremony, no easy applause. This one is fought for. Across endless gravel, through the dust, under the relentless Tankwa sun. And he’s chasing it down on a Sling Cycles Tagati. So, the question is — when he rolls up to the start line… will you be there with him?
