As a South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) approved organisation, its AMO 1264 offers a wealth of experience, knowledge and skill, whilst its aircraft maintenance technicians are some of the finest in the industry and are Rotax approved in accordance with iRMT (independent Rotax Maintenance Technician). However, as an ever-growing organisation, Sling is not the only range of aircraft the company maintains.”

In October 2025, Sling turned 20. October 2005, Mike Blyth first began drawing pictures of the ideal LSA to meet the new ASTM 2245 LSA standard.
