Wits Pays TAF A Visit

Over 200 3rd year Aeronautical, Mechanical and Industrial Students from the University of the Witwatersrand recently visited The Airplane Factory on a factory tour.

Said Jarryd Wilson, of the Airplane Factory’s Research and Development department who hosted the visit, “The students from the three disciplines were treated to a tour of the factory’s final assembly facility, sub-assembly, and Research and Development departments.  Numerous questions were asked, and tremendous interest was shown in the Airplane Factory products and manufacturing techniques.”

‘’We encourage students I all disciplines with an interest in aviation to a tour facility to develop their interest still further and to provide them with the techniques and research and development capabilities we have to design aircraft in South Africa”.

Slingers, get ready to feel the burn!

The Tanqua Kuru is calling and we’re answering

It’s go‑time! Load up your gear, strap on your gravel shoes, and aim for the wide‑open Karoo horizon. The Tanqua Kuru is calling, and we’re answering with throttles, pedals, and hearts wide open. At least four Sling aircraft and our solid team of riders will make the pilgrimage to Tankwa Tented Camp for what’s become an annual tradition of grit, gravel, and greatness.

But that’s not all!

There’s still one title former Springbok Bob Skinstad hasn’t claimed… This isn’t a stadium victory. No crowds, no ceremony, no easy applause. This one is fought for. Across endless gravel, through the dust, under the relentless Tankwa sun. And he’s chasing it down on a Sling Cycles Tagati. So, the question is — when he rolls up to the start line… will you be there with him?
