Sling Aircraft New Zealand Newsletter Vol .03

200 hours in 6 months!

“Nemo has been doing a lot of flying! Having been in the air for just over 6 months, we have completed 200 hours of flying. This has been achievable by the fact that the TSi is so affordable to run. We have now done a number of large cross-country flights with our families and have explored just how capable Nemo is. Full fuel, four adults’, bags and the TSi just shrugs it off and flies like its empty! This plane still amazes us every time we fly it.

We have been able to share the Sling experience with a large number of pilots with our demo days that we have held around the North Island and have had nothing but positive feedback from all who have flown the TSi. We have many more aeroclubs and people to see around NZ, unfortunately, the weather this summer has not helped in allowing this the last few months. We are, however, busy planning a South Island trip that is well overdue!”

This Is Africa: Part 2

The adventure continues! For once, there are no border crossings to navigate, no custom stops, and no major travel plans on the schedule. Just a quiet day at home. Naturally, that doesn’t last long… When Sling Chief Test Pilot, Riaan Denner, has an idea, you know things are about to get interesting. In this episode, Josh and Chelsea take to the skies over Johannesburg for some banner towing, go behind the scenes at the incredible Jonker Sailplanes factory, make a completely unplanned stop to meet a very special young zebra, and then set off on the next major leg of the journey — heading south towards Plettenberg Bay and Cape Town.
